I think Bridie is super adorable! I prefer it to stay as a nickname, though, but I could see it following the cutesy name trend in the UK.
As someone mentioned, it does look really close to Birdie (which is also a really cute nn!). I swear someone here is named Brydie, and she said her parents spelled it that way because then it wouldn't get confused with Birdie. I like that, but I think I'd spell it Bridey first to avoid that confusion. I like that spelling best.
