Family Event - Fulfill lifelong dream
This year, Gregory and Lillian fulfilled their dream of owning their own home in the English countryside, away from the crush of London where they both grew up, by purchasing a farm in a tiny village in northern England. Greg gave up his business career and began to farm their land, while Lillian works as an archaeologist, spending a good deal of time around England and Scotland studying artifacts.

Birth
Gregory and Lillian welcomed their first child, a girl with straight blonde hair and gray eyes like her mother's. They named her Margaret Johanna, after her grandmothers, and fondly call her Maisie.

Year 3
Celebration - Easter
Gregory, Lillian, and Maisie welcomed both sides of their family over to the farm for Easter dinner. Lillian presented a fabulous meal made almost entirely with food grown or raised by the family. There was plenty of food and plenty of laughter and even their staunchly urban relatives professed a love for the farm.

Lillian took up scrapbooking this year and has had a wonderful time cataloguing their marriage and little Maisie's life!

Family Vacation
Gregory, Lillian, and Maisie took a holiday in the south of France this summer to visit Gregory's sister.

Travel - Asia
Lillian was selected to travel to Asia to study some ancient Chinese ruins with apparent Western influence. She spent this entire last year there. Gregory and Maisie came for a week to see her, but then returned home to the farm.

Child Dies
Tragedy struck the Collins family this year when little Maisie developed a life-threatening illness. After spending several months in the hospital fighting her disease, Margaret Johanna Collins passed away, leaving her parents and family in mourning.

Pet - Sheep
Gregory bought a few new sheep for the farm this year, but didn't plan on getting a pet out of the deal! One of the sheep, an ewe named Hildegard, kicked her fleecy little way into Gregory and Lillian's grieving heart. Hilly, as she is fondly known, sleeps in an old doghouse in the backyard of the farmhouse and comes whenever Gregory whistles.

Transfer to a different department
Rather than keep on travelling around, Lillian has transferred to a curator position at a museum in York. Although it's a long daily commute, Lillian is enjoying her new job and the change of pace is helping her settle back into life after losing her daughter.

Birth - Boy/Girl Twins
Almost three years after Maisie's death, Lillian and Gregory welcomed a double new addition to their family. Twins Vincent Gregory and Mary Elizabeth are both happy blonde little beauties. Vincent's hair is straight and his eyes are green like Gregory's, and Mary -- or Molly as she is commonly known -- has wavy hair and violet eyes. Although the pain of losing Maisie will never fully dissipate, Vincent and Molly are a comfort to their parents and a ray of hope that Maisie's memory will live on.
