Help[Opinions] Elliott
First question, do you prefer Elliot or Elliott? I think I'm feeling the two t's right now but if you feel strongly one way or the other feel free to persuade me lol.
Next, my perfect go-to combo would be George Elliott, but I don't think that's a very good idea. I also really like Peter Elliott, but I'm not in love. Do you have any other suggestions along these lines? I think Elliott goes really well as a middle name for a lot of things but I'm having a harder time with it as a first name. Feel free to suggest either way! I really appreciate it! :)

I love Elliot! I would spell it with one T but I think it looks good either way.
I think George Elliott is a great combo, and I don't think it's really a bad idea. They're both popular names so it doesn't sound too much like you're using it because of the author - in fact I think a lot of people might not even make that connection! (also George Eliot was spelled differently)
Peter Elliott sounds fine too but George sounds better. Here are some more suggestions:

This is my favorite girl name right now. I prefer it spelled Elliot.
I really hate the names George and Peter, I would hate to meet a little child with either of these names as their first. Why not try searching for middle names for Elliot, even if you're having a hard time with it as a first name.

There used to be a poster here with a son named George Elliot. I think. I THINK.
I'd go with one T. I think one set of double letters is enough in a name. I've always had a little bit of trouble making piece with the two m's in my name making only one sound. I was always grateful that I wasn't a boy, because I would have been named Isaac and I would have two a's making the sound of a schwa...
But I do like Emma more than Ema and Elliot more than Eliot

Elliot. Because I'm picturing what it'd be like for him to sign stuff. Two L's and two T's is too much to have to write. Not that it matters for a middle name. There just seems to be an extra letter in Elliott somehow. Besides, the double T is more feminine to me, like in Charlotte and -ett- names.

I think I prefer Elliot to Elliott, only because I think it's the more common spelling, and thus less likely to be misspelled. But there's something about the two Ts in Elliott that is nice. I don't know if you're looking for suggestions but Ellicott is nice, too--it makes Elliott even preppier than it already is.
George Elliott sounds nice, of course, but that's also why George Eliot chose it to be her pen name. Actually a boy named after George Eliot would be a funny tribute.
Peter Elliott is even better. I don't think any of these suggestions improve on it, but here are a few anyway. I think these all sound nice (better, for the two-syllable names) with Ellicott.
