1.) This is our son, Wren Alphonse. Wren, say hi
You say: "Hello, Wren!"
You think: Wren is a peculiar name. It's nice enough, but a bit peculiar.
2.) This is my daughter, Minerva Mae.
You say: "She's absolutely gorgeous."
You think: Minerva is a bit fancy, and brings to mind Professor McGonnagal. Mae is rather plain, and brings to mind a Southern Belle. Strange contradiction.
3.) I'd like you to meet my son, Cadmus Luciano
You say: "Wotcher?"
You think: Now that is a name not unfitting a Harry Potter character. A bit unusual, and Cadmus makes me think.
4.) This is our daughter, Remembrance Charlotte - everyone calls her Remy
You say: "Would you mind if I call you Remy?"
You think: I always think Remy is a male name. Oh, well. Remembrance is a mouthful, and a tad bit cheesy for me.
5.) This is my son, Vladimir Pavel. He's a little shy
You say: *smiles at the boy* "Hello there."
You think: A very Russian name. Not my cup of tea, but not - to carry on the metaphor - a cup of mercury either.
6.) We'd like to present out daughter, Marguerite Emerald
You say: "Pleasure to be of your acquaintance, Miss Marguerite."
You think: A fancy name! Not all to objectionable, but a bit too frilly and lacy for me. Not too fond of Emerald, but not bad.
