It's the name of a friend's daughter, and I've never met a male Quinn, so this is easy for me. I think of it as sort of the Lynn of the 2000s... unisex enough for either sex, but at the moment it's way cooler for a girl, and seems a little prissy on a boy to me.
BTW, I think my friend who named her daughter Quinn was inspired by the 90's TV drama "Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman" and is most likely bummed about it being popularized in "Glee."
