Larisa - Lara

Anastasia - AniaI wouldn't use nicknames for any of the boys names.

Magdalena --I like Magda when said in other languages, but I dislike it in English. Lena is ok, but I couldn't ever use that.
Sofia --I don't think this needs a nickname.
Larisa --I plan to use this name with Lara as the nickname(with future spousal approval of course).
Josephine --I wish I liked Josie, but I don't, and I don't like Jo either, so I would say that I would prefer this without a nickname.
Anika --I would not use one since Anika itself is a nickname.
Anastasia --I would be tempted to use Ana even though it isn't related.Gabriel --I wouldn't probably use one for this. I dislike Gabe, but I don't hate it.
Emanuel --I wouldn't use one for this.
Sebastian --I would maybe use Bastian. It is my boyfriend's nephew's name, so can't use it now.
Dominik --Maybe Nick. I've never been a fan of Dom.
Simon --I wouldn't use one for this.
Branimir --I like Branko as a nickname.

Magdalena: Maggie, Magda, or Lena. Magda sounds older to me, so if it is a kid or a teenager I'd prefer Maggie or Lena.
Sofia: Just Sofia. Sofie is alright, but I don't think it's needed.
Larisa: No nn needed.
Josephine: Jo
Anika: No nn needed; Ana, Ani, or Annie if anything.
Anastasia: Ana. Maybe Stasia or Asia. Although I know a few Anastasias who go by Anastasia all the time, and it isn't as overly long as you'd expect.
Gabriel: Gabe, but not really needed.
Emanuel: Manuel, if anything.
Sebastian: Seb. I like Bastian too, but for some reason I prefer Bastian as a full name and Seb as a short form of Sebastian.
Dominik: Dom or Nik, but not necessarily needed.
Simon: None needed.
Branimir: Bran, which is probably my favorite male nn of all time. :)

Magdalena - the two I knew went by Magda
Sofia - I love both Sof and Fia.
Larisa - Risa
Josephine - Josie!!
Anika - Ani, although I prefer the full name
Anastasia - Ana.Gabriel - Gabe. Woohoo, this is my best friend's favourite name. Hopefully one day I will get to call a little Gabriel Gabe!
Emanuel - I know one who goes by Manny, but I'd probably try to steer clear of nns on this one. Maybe "E" but that's it.
Sebastian - Bastian
Dominik - Dom
Simon - none
Branimir - none

Josephine - Jo
Anika - maybe Ana
Anastasia - StaceyGabriel - Gabe
Emanuel - Manley
Sebastian - none
Dominik - Dom
Simon - none
Branimir - I was going to say Bran, but looked up that Branko is a diminuative, and I like that... sounds like Bronco, my college's mascot. :)
(eta: Ah, that's right, Branko is your father's name, no wonder it seemed familiar.)

Yeah, if my brother wasn't a junior I'd use Branimir to honor my Dad (and I have neighbours that did just that).
