Ari has mainly been involved in foreign affairs since her sister became queen and she gave up the spy game. Nicholas, declining to be separated from his beloved Ari, joined her on nearly all her diplomatic missions. Ione and Marius did as well, and both loved traveling. Ione is beginning to show magical ability, and Ari and Nicholas decided to start her tutoring with her cousin Athena. Ione is a very affectionate and active child, and as such has become a favorite among her cousins. She looks a great deal like her mother, with the same dark hair and wide violet eyes, but she has her father's nose and crooked smile. Maruis in turn looks quite like his father, but he has his mother's mouth and dimples. He is also a very active and cheerful little boy, always tagging after his beloved older sister.
Ari and Nicholas were called off of theri foreign affairs dutues, hoever, to deal with the more pressing problem of the appointees. Ari herself whole-heartedly supports the new positions of the appointees and cannot help but thinking it base ungratefulness that the other nobility resent their position. She has been using her diplomatic prowess to try and calm the situation. All this tireless working did not keep her from gettign pregnant again however, a joy to her and Nicholas and Ione. Ione constantly referred to the baby as her sister, no matter how many times Nicholas and Ari told her it was just as likely to be another brother. Ione turned out to be right, and Ari was delivered of a daughter. She was the first to give birth this time, as her sisters and sister in law were all pregnant again as well. They named her Olivia as a name both loved, Aurora because she was born at dawn, and Hermione after Ari's other beloved older sister. Baby Olivia has her mother's dark hair and her father's grey-blue eyes and nose. Ari and her family, inclluding the new baby, will be part of the retinue for the Lethian wedding.
Among all the excitement about new babies and preparing for the wedding and all the work of dealing with the old nobility along with a newborn, Ari was not best pleased when a man was sent to her with a petition. When Ari was approached by Romolo Margo, she was not in the most receptive of moods, but as always she listened. She was astounded to learn he was a werewolf, and more than a little interested. She had never met a werewolf before, though she knew of them and knew that they were kept in a low place in society. This was something that had always made her uncomfortable, as no one had ever been able to explain the reasoning behind it to her satisfaction. But it was something that had not come up in the years since Kriana formed, so she had not thought it was a pressing issue until she met Magro. His plight made the entire werewolf plight real to her; she had never really believed the werewolf scare-stories, but she saw that Magro was a desperate and intelligent man, not half-wild like was assumed. Ari is not certain of Minnie's opinion on werewolf rights, but she fulfilled her promise of relaying the petition. Minnie listened carefully, but all she said was that she would have to think more deeply on the matter.
