[Games] Another Kingdom Congrats Royal Family (NOT A ROUND, but can still sign up if you want!)
THIS IS NOT THE FIRST ROUND. I just thought that the royal family should work out a few things before the game starts. Anyone who still wants to sign-up can, either here or below at the original sign-up.
So, my royal sisters and brother, we need to decide a few things, like our parents' names, our background, is any of our other family still alive, maybe which of the old kingdoms that are now provinces we came from, stuff like that.
So here are a few ideas of mine:
Our family was either lower-nobility or fairly well-off commoners, not too high-born but rich enough that we had good tutors and all that.
Our parents are still alive. Maybe our mother's first name could be Theodosia, which is why the queen goes by her middle name. I have no idea about our father's name.
I'd say maybe we have a little family, an aunt or uncle and a few cousins, maybe a few grandparents still alive.
What do you think? Any other suggestions?

Before I name anyone, what style of names are we using? Can I start off single? Lastly, can I be a fantasy character, fairy, mermaid etc.?

English names with a Greek flavor seems to be the general thing going on, but feel free to go however you want. You have to start off as a couple, and yes, you can be a fantasy creature, any kind you want.

Family Name: Rhydderch (it is procounced, rhee-derk)
DW: Lorien Madrigale (16)
DH: Gaelen River (18)
Status: Warriors
Gaelen was raised working in the stables with the roaming knights who patrolled the area fought over in between kingdoms. He was told that he was found as a baby by knights who came across his murdered mother and father, he is still trying to find out who killed them. He learned to fight from the knights, and when he was old enough, became a knight himself. In his early years of knighthood, he travelled with the company of warriors, trying to keep the peace in the troubled area. He helped establish the kingdom of Kriana, and for a while patrolled the borders, keeping the peace, and driving out the trouble that comes along.
Lorien was born a princess from a mystic kingdom far South of the Lari ocean. When she was eleven she was captured by nomadic slave traders. She lived with these slave traders for four years in the far south of Dakla, they found her valuble because of the faerie blood that is in her ancestry. Trying to escape several times, she was caught, brought back and punished. It was here at the camp that she learned to fight for herself, in the style of their brutal nomadic warefare.
When Gaelen came across the nomadic camp he was able to free Lorien (not without a fight of course) from the slave traders. He took her back to Kriana where she was knighted and they were married.
They have discovered that Lorien's faerie blood gives her amazing abilities of healing and strength. She is still learning about her power and how to use it. Since she did not stay in her country long enough to control it, the times where she can call upon it come and go. Gaelen has taught her how to fight with a broadsword, since then, she has combined the two fighting styles creating her own way of fighting. It is a very effective (deadly) style and extremely hard on the combatant, only someone with her mystical abilities could be able to master it, while not destroying themselves in the process. She and Gaelen are the most valued warriors in the kingdom. Someday Lorien wishes to travel back to her country that only few have ever seen.
---NOTE---
Can we start a war with another country sometime in this game???

We probably will at some point :P. One little note, Kriana is a brand new kingdom, so you can either say he patrolled during the war that made it or patrolled the borders of one of the kingdoms. Or is patrolling during the war what you meant?
Patrolling during the war is what I meant. Sorry if there were any other story conflicts, I didn't read your beginning story really well, just skimmed over it.
Also, who exactly is the ruler? I didn't see their post.
I'm done writing the beginning story.
Thanks for hosting!

WanderingMoon is playing the ruler with her character Theodosia Minerva "Minnie." She was the first person to post on the thread below. :)
Background note
Sorry I know this is for the royal family but the more I have time to think the better a background story I have.
Coral is a Korrigan
Korrigan
Korrigan's are a people who are small and often confusd for fairys. They are not however fairies. The people have golden blonde hair and gray eyes. Korrigan people live by water, including lochs, rivers, and waterfalls. The Korrigan people come from the Isle of Apple.
The Korrigan people often have abilities relating to shape shifting, quick movement, and clairvoyance. They also have their own spell craft similar to that of mages, and witches.
The Korrigan people are divided into two categories the Nains and the Nozgain. The Nains are peaceful Korrigans who spend most of their time dancing and frolicing. In contrast the Nozgain are more malicious and have a tendency toward trickery, theaft, and murder.
Because of the Nozgain's problem causing and highering themselves as mercenaries in wars the Korrigan people have become hunted and thought of as a threat to mortal society. The Korrigan live and extended life period but are mortal.
The leader of the Korrigan people is a priestess.
Coral herself is a Korrigan of mixed parentage, her mother a Korrigan and her father a druid. This is the reason for Coral's one gray and one violet eye. Coral has the ability to predict the future and was being sought out as an oracle. Coral is the next in line to be the priesstess of the Korrigan people from the Nain clan.
Coral young and naive had fallen in love at the tender age of sixteen with the Nozgain leader Bran. Bran became the priest of the Nozgain after marrying the young Nozgain Pristess Rune and murdering her to be the sole ruler. Coral was blind to Brans faults. Coral planned to secretly marry Bran and when the night of their wedding came and Coral saw the hired mercenaries she fled. She has been running ever since until she landed in Kriana in the Harbor of Magnus Waterside.

I was wondering...[m]
I was wondering if I could change my Flora from being a childhood friend of the Rey family into a cousin? A less wealthy cousin, but a cousin, nonetheless?
If not, that's cool...Just thought I'd ask.

Neat!
Sounds great to me. How is Flora related to us (mother's sister, mother's brother, father's sister, father's brother?)

Mother's sister is the option I'm leaning towards...
Have you guys decided whether the Reys were nobility or not before the war? This could affect my story as to why Flora's mother married a poor boat-maker...I mean, if Theodosia, Sr. and Flora's mother (name to come) come from a well-to-do family, then Flora's mother might have married for love, but if they were peasants of any sort and Theodosia, Sr. married up...? Just wondering what you guys were thinking...

We decided they were nobility, but not too high. Wealthy enough for them to indulge their children and give them the best tutors but low enough that royalty is a big step up.
Okey-doke, so...were Theodosia, Sr. and Flora's mother (named Cassandra, maybe?) a part of this same rank or what?
I think that's what we are thinking, that Theodosia's family is of comparable rank to Leonidas'.
I'm fine with it!
I agree with all of that, Minnie going by such was always, in my mind, because she was named after her Mother. Our Father, maybe he could have ancient Greek name like Demetrius does?
I also agree that we were previously nobility of some sort. I think an ancient Greek name would match well with the rest of the family.
How about Leonidas Demetrius for our father? I feel like if the daughter was named after the mother, the boy would be named after the father somehow. And maybe Hermione as our mother's middle name?
Leonidas Demetrius sounds great to me. Very handsome. I was thinking either Hermione or Athena for Mother's middle name.
What are our parents like? Obviously they were indulgent with their children, educating them and encouraging Hermione's and Arianna's magical training, even spoiling Demetrius. Are either of them mages? It doesn't seem to me like they are, but with two daughters magically inclined, they could be.
On a side note, if they period is Ancient Greek, is the style of dress a loose flowing dress, like you see in pictures of Egyptians and Greek gods and such? Just curious. :)

I like the sound of loose flowing garments. I'd say they were rather indulgent, somewhat too much so with Demetrius. Why would you say he is spoiled? I don't feel like they would be the type to spoil him because he was the only boy, and I definitely feel as if they would be the type to love all their children equally. Maybe he was a sickly child so they were over-protective and gave him what he wanted? I'd also say they had high expectations of their children, which is why they finally got fed up with Demetrius's laziness.
I mean with three sisters like Minnie, Hermione, and Ari...he's definitely the black sheep!
Maybe he was a bit sickly, a bit weak, and a little too inclined to stay indoors and party. They were indulged and he learned to love the fine things in his life? He's probably just as intelligent, but not as unenthusiastic or passionate as his sisters.

Yeah, I figured our brother was intelligent as well. And him being sickly as a kid makes sense. So we have our family figured out? Our parents and new cousin are squared away?
That all sounds good. It was my intention for him to be intelligent, but just not as passionate about it as his sisters. I didn't even think of the sickly thing but it makes a lot of sense that that's why he would be spoiled.
