My husband and I like the Spanish version MARTÍN pronounced Mahr-TEEN. The nickname for MARTÍN in Spanish is "Tincho" pronounced TEEN-cho.
I don't like the nn Marty. I do like Martin; I just happen to prefer the Spanish pronunciation over the English pronunciation.
I like Martin Nathanial as a combo and I would love to see a little Martin.
One of my favorite combos is Martin Sebastian which sounds nice in English and Spanish :)
