[Opinions] Apollonia
Thoughts on Apollonia?

I love it! I like the idea of Polly as a nickname.
I love "Purple Rain"! ;)
I like Apollonia. It's quite a mouthful, though, and I can't think of any good nicknames for it. Appie? Nah. Lonie? Nah.
Nickname Polly!
I like that! ntd

One of my old managers actually has a daughter named Apollonia and they call Apple or Nia :-)
I like the name too. It's not a favorite but I think it's cool.

"Quite a mouthful" was a super bad choice of words. Saint Apollonia's teeth were broken out and or extracted. -shudder-
to the OP: ^ that's why I don't like the name--baaad association.
nns could be Apple or Loni

LOL. I didn't know that about St. Apollonia, but now that you mention it, I recall reading a novel set in medieval times ("Katherine" by Anya Seton--one of my all time favorites), in which there's a scene featuring carved miniature statues of the saints. St. Apollonia is represented as having a swollen jaw and carrying some sort of extraction implement, and I think the novel mentions that she's the patron saint of toothaches, or at least she was the saint people would pray to when they had a toothache. Bad choice of words indeed.
