After more than a year, the evil enchanters who cursed Adam had still not be caught. Eglantine brought them weekly updates when she could, but several times she was too busy battling them to come for weeks at a time. Belle and Adam tried not to worry, as their little Mirabelle was safe, but it was hard not to wonder what would happen if the enchanters were not defeated. But as it had been decided that the people at large were to know nothing of the threat so as to not to cause a panic, they put on a good face. Everyone simply saw them as their handsome prince and beautiful princess with a lovely baby girl, for everyone marveled over how pretty Mirabelle was, looking more and more like Princess Annabelle every day. Belle and Adam looked over her and only hoped that she would grow up safe.
Both were worried when Belle discovered she was pregnant again. As soon as Eglantine arrived for her report they begged her to do the same for this child as she had for Mirabelle. Eglantine agreed, and once again was their guard during the duration. This pregnancy went as smoothly as the first, and Belle delivered a beautiful baby boy whom they named Giacomo as a name both loved, Maurice Étienne for both of their fathers, Nicodemo for the victory they hoped to gain over the evil enchanter, and Auguste for Adam. Eglantine once again performed her charms over him, and Adam and Belle felt somewhat safer. Seeing how Mirabelle adores her little brother, they can only pray that both will be safe as they grow up.
