The Brandon's second year at Court has been very eventful. The rumors of Prince Philippe attempting to overthrow King Leopold have fueled Mary-Agnes' hunger for gossip. Henry has advised her to keep her mouth shut about such things, but Mary-Agnes won't listen to her husband. She feels Henry is too naive and boring.
A few months after she slept with Prince Joseph while Princess Diana was in labor, Mary-Agnes discovered she was with child. She wasn't sure if it was the legitimate child of her husband, or the bastard of the Prince. She decided not to tell her husband that the baby might be Joseph's until the child gets older.
When Mary-Agnes finally gave birth to a baby girl, Henry was elated. However, Mary-Agnes secretly wished to give Prince Joseph a son. They decided to name their daughter Jocelyn which had been a favorite of Mary-Agnes's, Elizabeth after Henry's mother, and Frances after Mary-Agnes's mother.
So far, the girl has dark brown hair like Mary-Agnes (and Joseph) and green eyes like Henry. It's up in the air as to whether Jocelyn's father is a Prince, but Mary-Agnes plans to raise the little girl like royalty regardless.
