The last year has been the happiest Élisabeth can remember since before her mother passed away. Prince Louis, or Charming as Élisabeth calls him affectionately, is a very dedicated and loving husband, and Élisabeth was thrilled to discover that she was pregnant just a few months after their elaborate wedding.
She was also very pleased when not long after that her step-sister, Charlotte, announced her own pregnancy. Over the course of the year, Élisabeth, Charlotte & Marguerite have become friends and many apologies have been made for the way they used to treat her. They also explained that it was oft enough their mother who forced them to treat her with such disdain and Élisabeth has accepted that in some ways Charlotte & Marguerite were as much victims of their mother as she herself. None of the three girls have contacted their parents since the day of Élisabeth's marriage, though Élisabeth does miss her father dearly... even if he was weak and only a shadow of the man he had once been... but he was just another victim of Élisabeth's step-mother. The King had mentioned more than once that he could arrange for Duchess Tatienne to leave the kingdom, but out of respect for Charlotte & Marguerite Élisabeth has declined. Despite everything, Élisabeth knows that her sister's do still love their mother and would be saddened if she was exiled.
Élisabeth went into labour on a hot summer's day and welcomed a beautiful son. The whole Kingdom rejoiced at the news that a son had been born, securing the next generation of their beloved royal family. As per tradition, the boy was named Louis as all first born sons were, though he is known by his middle name, Henri, within the family. Little Henri is the light of Élisabeth & Charming's lives and they are so very enamored with their little son. Henri was 3 weeks old when Élisabeth's dear godmother arrived at the palace, much to Élisabeth's suprise as she had not seen her since her wedding. Angelique was just as enthralled with the young prince as Élisabeth herself and with a wink Angelique magically blessed the young prince, promising a life filled with love, health, prosperity, and the same charming wit as she confided in Élisabeth that she'd once blessed on the babe's father as well. Élisabeth was suprised at this revelation but once she mulled it over found that it made sense, after all, it wasn't fair to the masses that one man be as naturally blessed as her beloved was without a little magic intervention!
