Lorelei. To me, it looks right. I think the -ei at the end is distinctive enough that even if people don't naturally say it as a long I sound, it's not hard to learn. And besides, it's actually correct... I think it doesn't look like it was "fixed" to suit someone who might not know how to pronounce it. If I were going to be given this name and my parents didn't spell it Lorelei, I would change it to Lorelei.
Lorelai looks like it should be "Lor-eh-lay," to me.
