[Games] Re: Another Kingdom Congrats? Read then post your thoughts...
Honestly, I think I'd rather start afresh, since this might involve certain of us playing other players' characters. For instance, if I were to say:Adelaide consulted her sister-in-law, Queen Élisabeth of France, who said, "Blah, blah, blah."This would mean that I would be actively playing another player's (namely, glassmidnight's) character. The problem here is: what if I write something that is conflicting with glassmidnight's (as an example) view of her character? This could be an issue that could be avoided by just starting anew. However, that said, I do think it is an interesting, potentially-fun idea, as long as everyone can agree not to get upset if a player takes one of their characters and messes with it (which, I'll admit, I don't think I can agree, as I have very specific characterization ideas of certain characters).

My, that Elisabeth, so eloquent. :)I agree that the problem of playing other people's characters could cause some problems and "bad blood," and I would definitely like to avoid that.Another idea would be perhaps to play further in the past, that is, these character's ancestors and toward the end, perhaps we see Walter, Magdalena, Joseph, and Adelheid being born. Or we could go into the future and have cameo references to the current players. It also might be fun to play something a little more fantastic. Perhaps Arthurian, or (forgive my nerdiness) a magical kingdom.

Magical Bial creation?I like your fantastical idea of Arthurian magical kingdom! Who say's we don't go back and into time with the Bial Kingdom's creation??

Hmm I didn't think about that aspect of it, but you are right about the potential for bad blood... I love the idea of a magicl kingdom or arthurian (i shall join you in your nerdiness!), perhaps for another one? I'm not quite ready to be done with the Kaarmann family completely!I think i'd rather go forward in time a couple of generations and have cameo references...
