[Opinions] Romeo

I really like it actually! I love the sound of it and it also looks nice imo. I think it could work these days, as there are so many different names around now.
I just think the association is too much. And if he had a Juliet in his class neither of them would ever hear the end of it. I'd say middle name only.
I do really like Romy as a nickname for a boy or girl. What about:
Jerome
Roman
Romolo

I do like it, but it does have such a widely known reference that I think that could really be a lot of baggage. And I agree with Aine...it would be tricky to be an unfortunate looking Romeo.
I used to find it really cheesy but I think it can work in today's world. However, I feel as though only a certain kind of person could pull it off without being made fun of- you'd have to be pretty sure your kid was going to be attractive and not particularly open to teasing in the playground, which is of course something that you can't really be assured of (although if you're a Beckham child or whatever, it is a pretty good bet lol).
A high school friend of mine recently had a baby daughter but if it was a boy he was going to be called Romeo Lorenzo which seemed like a handsome combo to me, even if it isn't my style at all.

it has a nice sound but for me, the Shakespeare is just too big of a reference. It is something everyone knows and can quote. I think it would lead to a lot of teasing. perhaps as a middle name?
