[Opinions] Re: Sparrow

I just can't help thinking - after I think involuntarily of Captain Jack Sparrow and the trendy affectations of Johnny Depp - that sparrows are brown, pesky, overabundant, and just ever so trivial. They don't have much going for them. That's even why, IMO, they were used as they were in the Bible symbolism I've heard about. Like, doesn't it use the idea that the sparrow is so darned insignificant, to point out the extent of God's love?
The robin portends Spring and is resourceful and busy; the lark sings a beautiful song; the wren is a sacred bird to the Celts; I think Jay is just the letter J written out (I think the bird is not a very uplifted namesake at all, but at least they're a pretty blue color).
So ... sorry, I can't talk it up to you. I wouldn't want to be called Sparrow. I vote for Sparrow in the middle name slot only.
