[Opinions] Re: M birth announcements

Are all of these children really named Maizie, spelt this way? I've been seeing Maisie in the London Telegraph for the most part, not Maizie.
I don't like the name too much as a full one. Makes me think of Henry James, which isn't bad, but tiresome. A child's name.
Matilda Beatrice Forbes is great. I wish we knew her sister Flora's middle name/s.

Most of these aren't from the Telegraph and yup Maizie pops up quite often. Both spelling seem to be getting quite popular, Maisie went up 22 placed in Scotland in 2010 (it's # 36) and it's #34 in England/Wales.

Really! That's fascinating as I've yet to see more than one Maizie BA. Maisie, according to stats, is just so much more popular.
I've noticed quite a few variations in spelling in popular names Mollie/ Molly, Millie/ Milly, Layla/ Leila/ Laila..., Maisie/ Maizie, Lacie/ Lacy, May/ Mae, etc.
I guess the Brits want names that are 'different' but don't go as wild with spelling as the Americans.
