I like Anastasia a whole lot better than Stacy! But it is a mouthful, and would certainly get shortened to something. Anne? Annie? Tassie?
The only one I know spells her name Annastacia, which makes my eyes ache.

I absolutely love Anastasia. I have an on-again, off-again relationship with it, in regards to being in my #1 spot for girls. In short, it is a beautiful, regal name, and these qualities are only amplified by the story of the Russian Princess (especially since I loved the animated movie as a child).
I used to not like it at all, but then it was my boyfriend's favourite name so I let it grow on me, but then he and I broke up and I was indifferent to it for a few years. Now my cousin's 1 year old is named Anastasia and I've come to think that it's lovely!
It is quite grand, and at first I wasn't sure about how well it would suit a baby but it works perfectly.

Beautiful, but a bit too frilly for me, and I can't help thinking of anesthesia when I encounter it. I still like it though.
I don't know, it's a little TOO regal for my tastes. Borderline snobby almost...
I must respond because Anastasia is my name.
I have to say I do enjoy the name; it’s a rare occasion when I'm not complemented on my name. Which makes me think if so many people like this name why are they not more Anastasias in the world....
And people always ask if go by a nickname and the answer is no. If you are too lazy to say Anastasia that's your problem not mine. People who try to call me Ana when I never introduced myself as Ana will always get a dirty look from me or the eye roll. :-P They learn quickly!
I rate this name with an A. It's historical, unique, feminine and yes grand (I like that description of yours).
Take Care.

It is very pretty. Almost too soft and feminine for my taste, however. I feel like it is like the ultimate feminine princess name.
I like it. It's a bit princessy, but in a strong / good way and not a frilly way. I know three Anastasia's (including an Anastacia).
I kind of like it. It's very regal and strong. Grand and charismatic is a good way to describe it. It's also pretty hippie (modernly so) to me because of a friend I have by that name.
Love it, particularly with the nn Anya.
