[Opinions] Harlan
I just started reading a novel by Harlan Coben, and it got me thinking...What do BTNers think of Harlan? As for myself, it's not exactly my cup of tea. I'd never use it, but it does have a certain charm to it. I find it somewhat handsome.

I actually know a baby Harlan. The sound makes me think of Har-lyn and it feels too feminine to me.

Is the baby Harlan you know a boy? I actually find Harlan quite masculine, especially when compared to Harper or Harlow, which feel more feminine to me.

Never heard of it before. Hmm. I think I like it better than the Harlows and Harleys that keep showing up around here. But actually, Coben intrigues me much more. Nickname coh-bee (Cobe/Cobie/Cobey).

I have a friend named Harlan! I wouldn't ever use the name, but it has a very laid back feel.

It makes me think of the rapist in "Thelma and Louise", I'm afraid, though I believe it's a good ol' southern name.

It's not my style, but not horrible. I has a P.E. class with a Harlan once, but I've never met any others. It's pretty surnamey and masculine, so I bet it could have a pretty good chance of becoming popular.
