This is specifically directed to Hal Childs. My great great grandfather was named George Almeron Ramey He was of French/ Dutch ethnicity. He was born in 1833. Maybe it was just a popular name at the time, or named after the surname of someone. I know it was not his mother. Her name was Flint and his grandmothers name was Hunt. I am not sure of the other grandmother, so maybe hers. I should have checked on the net before this. My great great grandfather was in Rensselaer and Broome counties in New York, and later in Green county in Wisconsin. He died at only 32 years of age.
