I've always liked it, and I pronounce it "KWIN-zee." That's how people from MA say the name, as opposed to "KWIN-see."
I think it has a great historical ring to it, and it's a strong, simple, slightly edgy name. It's great if you ask me, though it could start to sound trendy. I've actually met a little girl with this name, too, though I prefer it on a boy.
For middle names, I think something strong, simple, and classically manly. Quincy Michael, Quincy Thomas, etc. Basically anything but Quincy John or Quincy Adam, since you don't want it too reminiscent of John Quincy Adams.
