I very much enjoy Zoe, with the ZO-ee pronunciation. It's cute but not cutesy if that makes any sense. I knew a really awesome little girl who would about 11, I think now named Zoe, she was a tomboy when she was 4-7 (when I knew her), she was African-American with very dark skin and curly hair and classes, the name really seemed to suit her.
The ZO pronunciation makes me think of Zooplankton and the Zoology class at my school cause people just call that "zo", so I'm not really a fan.
