Message: "Simco" - Behind the Name

My mother says her grandmother was Polish. Her surname was Simco. Is that name of Polish origin (it doesn't look like a standard Polish name). Also, what does it mean? Thanks for the help.

It must be Simko which is derived from Simon. The surname is found in Poland but it's probably of Hungarian origin.
