Erik and Vita were extremely excited with the birth of little Sanne. The people were excited to have an heir to the throne, as well as happy for their young and popular monarchs. Little Sanne was born as beautiful as her mother, same honey-blonde hair and warm blue eyes. She was a very sweet and quiet baby, easy-going and easily calmed when she was upset. Erik and Vita threw themselves as much as they could into ccaring for their little daughter, but they also had the best nannies to look after her when they couldn't be with her.
Two years later, Vita and Erik announced another pregnancy, which they were thrilled about. The continuation of the royal line is something to be celebrated by the Danish people. With the birth of their second daughter, called Anika by friends and family, the press went wild with photos and stories, setting the royal family up as a perfect normal unit, showing photos of such things as the four of them playing in their favorite part of the grounds, Vita shopping with the girls, even one of her breastfeeding little Anika while Sanne and Erik played nearby. Though they know the people love this portrayel of their royal family, and Erik has been used to being photographed since birth, Vita doesn't like having her children's faces plastered all over tabloids and magazines, and Erik has to agree. Vita is comfortable in her public role and is active in politics, but she wants to keep her children out of the public eye as much as possible, and certainly doesn't want her breastfeeding child in a tabloid. Security has been beefed up around the royal residences, and paparazzi are kept at as far as distance as possible. Vita and Erik both hope they won't have to stop going on outings with their beloved littel girls just because the paparazzi won't respect their privacy.
