[Opinions] Re: Michelle.

Yes, it's boring and ordinary, but if that doesn't bother you, then no problem. I don't see it as simple, though.
To me, it's one of those names that is "too pretty" and I hate names that are "too pretty". It's along the lines of Melissa, Alyssa, Clarissa, Marisa, and I would add Michelle---names that practically scream "Look at me, I'm so pretty, aren't I pretty, too bad you can't be as pretty as I am!" These names are just too obvious. There is no subtlety to them. Just pwetty pwetty pwetty aren't they pwetty. They make me want to puke.
I've seen both Victoria and Isabella described as "pretty princess names" and I couldn't disagree more with that. One I love and the other I hate, but I don't see either as "pretty princess." Victoria, while beautiful, is strong-sounding, and not weak and wimpy like the ISSA names and Michelle, and Isabella is heavy and clunky, but at least not weak. I think the "pretty princess names" are the ISSA names--and Michelle.

Isabella is pwetty pwetty pwincess to me.
Michelle doesn't have that sound to me, probably because all of the women I've known with the name were very strong.
