[Opinions] Can I ask you something?
Hopefully it isn't too personal. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. When you changed your name, was it "the one", or a name that you really liked? Just basically...how did you end up making your choice? Sorry for the random question. I just realized that I never asked you that before, and it seems silly since you've changed your name and I haven't yet. Thanks :)

I wondered the same thing.

Oh dear I did not see that you also asked! Well, long story short, after many years of indecision and waiting for my "true love" of a name to come along and take me away from all this (which it never did), I finally just made a list of what I was looking for in a name - the characteristics I wanted. I made many many lists and after a long narrowing-down process, I ended up with the name I have today. One thing I did not do, surprisingly, was check the popularity of the name. I don't know if I forgot, or didn't care or what, but I really - honestly!- had no idea that Chloe was such a pop-rocket of a name. If I had to do it again, I might've gone with my runner-up name, Clio. At the time though, I thought Chloe sounded friendlier and "more me". Maybe it was a blessing in diguise because whenever I tell people that Clio was my second choice, they delight in telling me of how awful Clio is and how they'd have no respect for a person named Clio. So... yay? My surname actually did come to me in a flash of insight though. It's basically a matronymic.
