I know a girl Dorian. Her name is Dorothy Ann and she calls herself Dorian.
I can't say that it works though. I called her Dorian and heard her referred to as Dorian and saw this skinny cute girl who was clearly a girl and simply could not think of her name as in any way feminine or female. So I don't endorse it, personally. But I think it's cleverly derived from Dorothy Ann.
