[Opinions] Phillip
WDYT about Phillip?

I don't really like it. It's not a favorite.
I'm not considering the name. It's my husband's name and I was curious what people thought. I call him Phil.
I tend to think of the phrase "fill up" when I hear it, but it's a decent name and not too common these days. I think it would be refreshing to meet a little boy named Phillip.
Like it a lot. Just don't pair with Morris or Maurice.
I think it has an aristocratic feel but isn't pompus. Everyone has heard of it but it isn't that popular. I really dislike the nickname Phil so I personally would never use it.
I'm basically neutral towards it...don't love, don't hate, but prefer the spelling Philip.
I love it, and spelt exactly as put it. I think that nowadays it probably wouldn't be used much, but it's an established name so everyone would know it.
It is fine. I do not really care for it, but I do not hate it. I think it is not only outdated, but stuffy. I do not like the nickname Phil. Reminds me of pill. It is also a boring name.
Love it, but only spelt Philip
Particularly because someone once mentioned here that since the name is formed by the Greek elements philo + hippo (love + horse), the extra l would make it philo + lipo (love + fat) xD
The nickname Pip/Pipo is also much better than Phil!

Tritto!
.
I don't like the double L sp. Philip is much cleaner. It's an okay name, but it's rather formal for everyday use and I don't like any of its nns.
It's alright. I sort of like Philip because of the history. I didn't used to like it because I knew a mean person with that name, but I don't dislike it anymore. I still prefer Philip though, with 1 l.
I like it, but only spelled Philip (or perhapd Filip)
I have always thought that Phillip was a sort of weak sounding name. Maybe flimsy is better. Like a man with soft hands because he is a stranger to hard work ... IDK... It's probably just me.
