[Opinions] Uma or Una?
I personally love both these names. In the same sib-set, obviously they would be too much - so which to you prefer?
I slightly prefer Uma today, but the only Uma I have ever heard of is the actress. I personally don't mind because it's such a pretty name. I don't think it's tacky, like say - Charlize for example.

Definitely Una. I used to not care for Uma and Una, but Una has grown on me a bit these days because of the book Ahab's Wife. Uma still sounds a bit off to me.
Una! It's in my top 10 :)
Una.
Uma is nice, but I think Una has an edge.

Una all the way!
I agree--Una is nice!
I like the spelling Oona as well - can't decide which is prettier now!
Uma. I'm not sure why. Una makes me think of the word in Spanish, but I just prefer the sound/look of Uma.
I much prefer Una. I think it has a much more light and elegant sound.
I really like Una (this spelling only), but I dislike Uma.
I far prefer Una, though I rather deplore Unity. Uma is indeed a one-owner name, and I must admit I can't put a face to the actress, but Una goes right back to The Faerie Queene.
And I do agree that Charlize lacks distinction!

Well, you can use it if you won't be living in Jpns. circles... though just in case she winds up in Jpn. at some point as an adult (for a job maybe), a mn that doesn't have a funny meaning in Jpns. would be good to fall back on.
