I'd spell it Cleo. I think it would cause the least confusion, except for maybe being mistaken for Chloe when people just glance at it. Which they'd do. My name is Shannon and it sometimes gets mistaken for Sharon when looked at. Clearly people don't look that hard.

Anyway, I do like the spelling Clio best, but I think people might sometimes try to pronounce that with a long I. There's a town in my state spelled and pronounced that way. And Kleio might get a lot of long A sound. So yes, Cleo I think would be safest.

I can't see Cleo getting terribly common. It's much too associated with Miss Cleo. Tons of jokes would ensue.
