[Opinions] Re: What are your favourite French names?
in reply to a message by Alisha
I adore France (and French names)! I was an exchange student in France a few years ago.
My favorites:
Guillaume - I love this one soo much! I think it's so handsome, so sophisticated, so French.
Étienne - lovely name, and I like the fact that it's a normal French name and yet it has a very special feeling, like Darcy for a boy.
Loïc - isn't this just so macho and strong and handsome?
Guy - I like both the French and English pronunciation but the French pronunciation is more sophisticated but it still has a similar feeling as Loïc.
Lately Thibault has grown on me a lot but I'm still not sure if it's a new favorite.
For girls I like Amandine a lot but there are so many nice French names and the best thing is that an ordinary name like Charles or George/s/ sounds so much better with a French pronunciation.
