[Opinions] Re: Dorothea ?
in reply to a message by JessaRose
I was at school with a Dorothea who never had a nn at all, in spite of worshipping at the kind of ultra-chummy church that usually gives nicks to one and all. She was a nice girl and a good advertisement for her name.
I know a Theodora who's about 20. She loathes her name with a passion and insists on being known as Theo, though she's as feminine and beautiful as anyone can comfortably be! Only her father uses her full name.
As nicks go, I prefer Thea to the dire and dreadful Dora, so that would give Dorothea the edge.
