Year 1)
They adopt a calico cat from a local shelter. They name her Sandy.

Jessa's sister, Bridgette, and brother-in-law, Paul, die in a tragic car accident. Their nephew and nieces come to live with them and they eventually adopt the children: John William is 5, and the twins Elisa Catherine and Juliet Rosalie are 2.

Just a few months after the adoption, Jessa finds out she is pregnant. It is a very difficult time, but Heath and her are very happy to welcome a new life.
Almost 4 weeks before the due date, Jessa starts having contractions and is admitted to the hospital. She gives birth to a baby boy 6 hoursl later. The baby is healthy, but he has to stay in an incubator for some weeks before being discharged.
He has blond wavy hair and brown eyes. His name is Nathaniel Bazel, and they call him Nate for short.
Year 5)
Jessa is Laid- off from the library she worked at. She decides it's a good opportunity to stay home and be with the kids.
Year 6)
Jessa is pregnant again! When she goes to the doctor, she receives the news that she is in facct expecting triplets! She is in shock, and so is Heath when she tells him the news. Eventually they warm up to the idea and agree that they were figure things out together. Because Nate was born prematurely, and this is a very high risk pregnancy, Jessa is put in bed rest and is contsnly monitored from the beginning. The babies are born at 30 weeks and have to spend some time in the NICU.
Andrew Zachary had blond, wavy hair and amber eyes. Harry leander had brown, wavy hair and hazel eyes, and Elizabeth Ava has brown, wavy hair and grey eyes.

Heath travels to France for a Medical Convention. Jessa stays home with the kids, and her mother, Agatha, comes to live with them to help Jessa.

Heath and Jessa had been considering adopting even before the triplets were born. Now that the triplets are bigger, they decide to apply for an adoption. Sooner than expected, they are matched with a 3 year old girl from Argentina. Her name is Emilia Isabel and she has brown curly hair and brown eyes. Heath and Jessa travel to Argentina to meet with their daughter, while the kids stay with Jessa's parents.
