[Opinions] William?
So what are everyone's thoughts on William? I love Will and Liam but I can't seem to get into William. Would Will or Liam work by themselves?

I like William but prefer just Will (though I would use it as a nn). I know 2 Liams who are just Liams so yes, it works. As for Will, it would work but most people would assume his full name was William. There's also Wilson, Willoughby, Wilbur etc. if you can get into one of those. =)

William is too common for me, but I really like the sound of it, and I find it strong and attractive. Liam is fine on its own. It's my favorite out of the three. I think Will is okay on its own too.

I like William and Liam a lot, but I would use Liam as a nn for William. I don't like Will. I find it boring and rather dated.

I can definitely see Liam on its own. Liam is super trendy here right now and it was #15 last year. But to be honest, I can't stand the name. Will, I like a lot. I think it's handsome and strong but I think it's better as a nickname for William than on its own. But I guess I can see it as a full name rather than a nickname.
In my opinion, William is a name you can't say many bad things about except that it's boring, very boring. So thumbs up for William and Will but not for Liam.

Oh, I ADORE it. It's so classic and handsome, and works on all ages. I really dislike Liam, especially on it's own (it's quite popular here) but Will is great.

I like William, but I think Will and Liam work fine by themselves. Most of the Liams I know are just Liam. I know several babies with this name and so it seems a little too trendy for me. I would name a baby William, and then call him Will.

Yawn. William's kinda boring, but overused and right now Liam's even worse and rather unattractive imo. I suppose Will COULD be used by itself, though that doesn't mean it should be... There are other Will names out there though like Willard and Willis... and Wilfred (though none of these are my style, others may like them).

I like William and Liam as a nickname (Will is ok, but more boring, imo). I can see Liam on it's own, but not Will.

I know and have heard of several Liams who were not Williams. I think I have also known one Will, but he changed his name from Wayne. Personally though, I prefer the formal William. My great-grandfather was named William Otha. I am not sure about Otha, but William Oliver has been on my mind. Most of all, however, I like Wilfred. I think it's just fabulous.
