7 years ago, all was well. Bronomir and Melisende were happy and rich. This was when Melisende gave birth to Peter. He was a plump, hairy little boy. For their first year together, the Alveys were happy. But then the civil war began. It began as a small fight outside the castle gates, but soon evolved into a massive a terrible Civil War. Colin Geoffrey and Moira Junith, twins, were born at this time. The Civil War had weakened the Alveys, and Moira, their first daughter, almost died of a terrible illness. She was, however, saved by a foreign doctor who happened to be visiting Angleterra before the War began, and was now trapped in the land because of it. Melisende and the doctor, Luke Hakim, began a friendship. The enraged citizens of the war-torn Angleterra would fight against the royal armies, and the soldiers would fight back... and kill. Bronomir was still 100% loyal to the King, but Melisende, who's loyalty was already weakened by Elijah and Adina, began to see the rebel's point of view. The rebels, however, were scattered amongst Angleterra, running for their lives. Feeling uncomfortable around her husband, Melisende began to spend more and more time with Luke. She gave birth during this time, to triplets Ella, Jaleh, and Michaela. She was unsure as to whether or not they were Bronomir's, but did not get a chance to find out, as they all died two days later. Bronomir and Luke were both devestated, because they both thought that the girls were their own. Melisende continued to lie to Bronomir about her affairs with Luke. Every day, as more innocent people were killed and tortured, she became more and more of a rebel. Then, one day, Luke confessed to Melisende that he was actually part of the plot to kill the king. Melisende was shocked that Luke was a rebel, but was glad to have someone who understood her situation to talk to. She also confessed her ever-increasing desire to join with the rebels, but she was still a bit hesitant to become a full-time one. The last straw came when she heard that Baron FitzGilbert had murdered the Butler. How could she... or anyone... be on the side of the King who had his men murder innocent people with families?! She ran over to Luke's in the middle of the night to tell him the news, and Luke asked Melisende if she would join the rebels. Melisende agreed. That night, joined by a group of other rebels, they assisted in the capture of the Queen, and later, the King as well. Rumor spread to Bronomir that Melisende and Luke were seen at the hostage site... together. Bronomir, angered at his wife and Luke, set out to kill Luke. Melisende and Luke heard of this and fled from the city in the middle of the night, leaving the angry and heart-broken Bronomir alone with 4 children to look after. 1 Year Later
Bronomir was overwhelmed. The recent loss of his wife, the burden of taking care of the children, and the current state of Angleterra was too much to bear. The Duke and Duchess had just crowned themselves Imerator, and had imposed martial law. Bronomir, extremely loyal to the real, imprisoned king had been one of the first targets. He was stripped of his rank, and all of his wealth and posessions was stolen from him. He was now a poor, widowed, psychotic man living in a one-roomed cottage in the war-torn land of Angleterra, with 4 children to look after. He wished that he could start all over. Then, one day, a crazy idea popped into his head. He decided that the only way to end the pandemonium and regain his title as 6th Duke of Elestra was for the King... the real King... to regain his throne. But in order to do that, the King would have to be busted out of jail. He decided in that he would be the one to do it. And that night, he made his plans...
