I've never heard it pronounced that way.Only a-kay-sha, like the tree. You'd have to fight for that pronunication. I'm no good with middle names, although Acacia was on my list years ago. I just don't know how I feel about it now - it's a little too different. Wdyt of Liora?

I've only heard it pronounced A-kay-see-ah and only then as the name of a street, not a person e.g Acacia Avenue.I think in the UK we tend to pronounce names like that with an extra syllable e.g. Anastasia is An-a-stay-sha in the US and An-a-stay-see-a in the UK. Same with Lucia - Lu-sha in the US and Lu-see-a here etc.Sorry to go off topic. I have no opinion of Acacia as a first name.

Acacia's much better than Liora... which is too close to Laura/Lora.

I like Acacia, pronounced a-kay-sha. I think most people would pronounce it that way. However...Acacia is a nice tree name and needs a nature-y name to go with it I think.Acacia Plum
Acacia Linnet
Acacia Wren
Acacia Star

I pronounce it a-KAY-sha. For the plant, I'm pretty sure a-CASH-a is just wrong. But since it's a name ... I guess you could do it.I never really went for the look of Acacia. There's something about it that seems awkward to me, I guess the two different letters C so close together? And Acacia has thorns. Big thorns. So I'm not into it. I think it's an okay name, but nms.Maybe consider Cassia (Cash-a) or Akasha? (See Akash)
