[Opinions] Victory
I've been liking Victory a lot lately. I think its as classy as Victoria but I like it better. I think I'd actually use it. So I was wondering what middle names would sound great with it. I can't think of any! And can you think of any names like that? I also like Honesty and Temperence. I don't think I'd use Temperence though... But I'm not sure.
Thanks for any of your help :)

I like Victory (not as much as Victoria) but it does remind me of a cheer I used to do. Honesty and Temperance are nms.Too early in the AM for combos.

I'm not good at coming up with middle names, but I'm posting to state my love for Victory. I don't love it quite as much as Victoria, but almost. I've read that Victory was the sixteenth-century form of Victoria. It's such a beautiful word with a great meaning--it makes a great name.

naw... Victory is very word-namey... I prefer Victor or Victoria, depending on gender.

Thanks for your opinion! I know what you mean by word names and not liking them. Like Apple and the like. There are some I like anyway though. For me, the thing is that there are some names like Laura, Lauren, and Laurie that all mean Laurel, Victory (I believe). I don't like those names but I love the meaning. So I thought I'd just skip the name and keep the meaning. Also, there was a show I watched once (I think it got cancelled) with a character named Victory Ford. Ever since I saw that show I loved the name. But I definitely see where you're coming from.

It is preferable to some word names... I have to admit I'm not a fan of Laura and Lauren and I only like Laurel if prn'd Laurelle (sounds a tad classier). Laurie I prefer as Lori, but still not on my list. Victoria's still nice and strong though. There are also the various Nick names (Nicole, Nicola, etc.)... and Jpns. names w/ Katsu in them... Anyway, I'll throw some names out here and you can play around w/ versions you like. I tend to aim for good meanings:Renee
Christa
Alexandra
Aurora
Danica
Patricia
Francesca
Amanda
Miela
Jessica
Antonia
Miguela
Natasha
Deborah
Trisha
Vanessa
Christina

Keiko's a pretty standard Jpns. name... not as common in the under 30 crowd, but LOTS my age and older... kinda like Hiroko and Tomoko... scattered ones under 30, but oodles my gen and older.
Patricia's a fam name for me too... my granny's fn and my cousin's daughter's mn.

Glad you liked some.
Jacoba is a favorite of mine. I prefer it pronounced with the English J but it can also be pronounced with the Y sound at the beginning.
