[Games] Re: Fray's Adoption Agency
in reply to a message by Fray
I'm playing with characters from a story of mine. Don't let their names confuse you.
Shea is the boy. Finley is the girl.LN: AveryYour name: Ryan Fionán "Finley"
Age: 29
Occupation: Stay-at-home mom, but often helps a local sanctuary with caring for animals that need a little extra care.
Interests: animals, classic reading, The Beatles, flower gardening.
Disabilities: Not a disability, but I have recently undergone gender reassignment and am on hormones.Your SO's name: Shealyn Moana "Shea"
Age: 31
Occupation: Fashion Designer
Interests: fashion, travel, music, politics
Disabilities: Occasional mild depression (like every other human being except it's diagnosed.)
Child(ren) living with you (names, ages, interests, disabilities): Son, Briar Xol (21mo). Enjoys cartoons, playing outside, and sorting things into colors, shapes, etc. No disabilities.
Others living with you (names, relations): My older twin sister Siân and her family live on the same property, but not the same house. The property is rather large so there plenty of space between us. Her children are only acres away whenever a playmate is needed though.
Pet(s) (names, species): Georgiana (fennec fox) and Magnolia (teacup yorkshire terrier) and a decently large saltwater aquarium. Will possibly be hand-raising a baby otter soon.
Location: Kyle, Scotland
Do you travel often? If so, where to and how often: Shea travels often for business and we sometimes travel back to his native home of Tahiti. We don't usually travel with him for business, but when he goes home, we all go to Tahiti as a family. This usually only happens once or twice a year. What is/are the household’s religion(s): None. But I like to keep a decent sense of balance for personal security reasons.
What language(s) do household members speak: English primarily. Shea also speaks fluent French and Tahitian. I speak some French, some Romani ("gypsy"), and some Gaelic. I'm also fluent in sign language (I've had a deaf best friend over half of my life).
The Adoptee(s):
How many children do you want to adopt (max. 3):
2
Ages (newborn-16): 14 or younger.
Gender(s): All.
Preferred origin(s): Anywhere that speaks English or French.
Preferred language(s): above.
Preferred religion(s): Preferably no one of very strong faith as we are not a very religious family and would not want to weaken anyone's faith.
Will you accept:
-Disabilities (kinds and severity):
minor disabilities. Have previous experience dealing with depression, vision problems, and deafness. Also equipped to deal with any level of gender dysphoria.
-Multiples (twins or triplets): yes.
-Siblings and/or close relatives: yes.
-Pregnant teen?: no.
-Teen mom, dad, or both: no.
--Teen mom, dad, or both WITH child: no.
-Gay/lesbian teens? If so, which or both: yes, either.
-Children with a terminal illness: no.
-Children with pets? If so, what kind(s): yes. Any. Finley is an animal enthusiast. Will you allow them to stay in contact with non-abusive parents/relatives/etc.: If the child(ren) wish(es) to.Other:
Statistically, more than 40% of homeless youth are gay/lesbian/transsexual children who have been rejected by their families. Many of them, if young enough, are put back into the system and many never get adopted because families do not accept or want to take on the extra "baggage" of having a LBGT child. Since I am transsexual, we are very open to helping out and loving children who come from this background.
