We just love having Mei in our family. She is very bright and has discovered a love for soccer.

We were so happy with our last adoption that when we heard of another girl in the same orphanage that we got Mei from who was so close in age to Mei we decided it would be nice for her to have a sister who she could related to so easily. Mei and Tai have really bonded and we love our two young ladies.

Gwendolen Shay
This year we had our first biological child, a little girl we named Gwendolen Shay. Gwen is such a good baby and Tai and Mei and great with her. Soon Mei will be old enough to baby-sit on her own and she can’t wait.
Year 6: Pet
Chinchilla – A friend of Tai’s was giving away their pet chinchilla and Tai begged for it. I’ve always wanted a chinchilla too so I gave in. Its name is Lester.

Nicole Briseis – wavy, blond hair and gray eyes
We weren’t planning on having any children this year, let alone three but we got quite the surprise when we found out we were pregnant with triplets. Our older girls were thrilled to have 3 new baby sisters. Chris and Tasha are identical and Nicky has much lighter features.
Year 8: Travel
Yellowstone
We had never taken a family vacation and decided to do so before Mei gets much older though we didn’t want to go somewhere far with 3 babies.
Year 9: Adoption
From: Peru
Gender: Fraternal twin boys
Age: 17
Carlos Roberto and Adrian Diego
We adopted boys this time. Ben is very excited to have boys and the boys are very excited to have little sisters, even 6 of them. This brings us up to 8 children. We are so blessed.
Year 10: Family Affair
Sadly there was a plane crash in our area. A cousin was on the plane and passed away. She was a single parent. We agreed to take in her four children.
Elizabeth Rose is 8.
Adam Gabriel is 13.
Charlotte Marie and Katelyn Eve are 11 year old identical twin girls.
It’s been hard for the kids. They are devastated. We have been taking them to see a therapist and it seems to be helping some but we know they need time. It has been a big adjustment for our children and us also to add 4 more people to our already bursting household.

Looks: wavy, dark blond hair and amber eyes
Alexander Malachi
Alex was born under unusual circumstances in an unusual place. To be exact he was born in the bathroom.
Year 12: Pet
We got a newt. We named it Sir Isaac Newt-on.

Kale Makaio
We adopted a boy from Hawaii this year. Kale has been a great addition to our family.

Ben took a business trip to Wisconsin this year. My parents stayed with me for the week to help take care of the kids.
