I think Louisa is gorgeous! Not too close to Laura at all. Louie is a cute nn-- it's fun. I think Lousie et al. are fine for nns, too. I'll also suggest Lula and Lilou as nns.
Louisa Emily is by far my favorite combo in that list! I think Louisa Jennifer would be nice to use, and Louisa Juliet is really pretty.
I have a big variety of names I like. The ones at the top that I'd actually use tend to be stronger feminine names. I am not prone to liking frilly names, but there are some that I enjoy.
