Year 1: Travel
We took a trip to the Bahamas for our honeymoon.
Year 2: Birth
We welcomed our first child, a boy. He has straight brown hair and brown eyes. It was very scary. Not just because this is our first child but because he was born at the mall. Not a good shopping day. He came early. His name is River Quin.
Year 3: Business trip
We went to a medical convention for 3 days and had to leave River with Max’s parents.
Year 4: Promotion
I am now the head pediatrician at my practice.
Year 5: Overseas Travel
We went on a trip to Europe to visit family.
Year 6: Adoption
We adopted a boy from Haiti. He is 11 years old. His name is Jonas Emmanuel.
Year 7: Birth
We welcomed another son this year. He has curly black hair and hazel eyes. He was born while we were in Haiti visiting Jonas’ orphanage. We named him Benjamin Alexander.
Year 8: Promotion
Max got a promotion.
Year 9: Car Crash
This year Max and Jonas were in a car crash on the way home from a pizza run. Max broke a few ribs and Jonas broke an arm but both of them are healing and will recover fine.
Year 10: Car Crash
This year Max’s brother was in a car crash and was banged up pretty bad. He spent a couple of nights in the hospital so Max and I took care of his daughter Lilly for a couple of days. The boys found it weird having a girl in the house. She is 9.
Year 11: Pet Fish
The boys wanted a pet and we said we would start with fish and see if they could handle some responsibility. They each got a beata fish. Jonas named his Britches, River named his Laser, and Ben named his Buzz Lightyear.
Year 12: Adoption
We again adopted from Haiti, from the same orphanage that we got Jonas from. This time we adopted a girl. She is 17 and named Ariel Miranda.
Year 13: Pet Dog
The kids have been doing so well with the fish (Ariel got one and named it Flounder…lol). That we decided to get a dog. We got a female golden retriever and named her Lizzie.
Year 14: Adoption
We adopted from Haiti again. We have just fallen in love with those children and want to give them all homes. This time we brought home a 4 month old boy named Carlo Jerry.
Year 15: Move
Look at our new house.
