The empress had to regain her strength thus it was recommended by the imperial doctor to space out pregnancies with at least a one year gap. Accordingly, the advice was followed by not having you know what for a year, thus the empress recovered, and the next pregnancy went well. But the third one was a suprise that was unexpected to a slight degree. The empire has been quite happy during this span. The empire has had both expansion of territory and economic growth, which makes the citizens of the empire quite a bit happier than just five years ago.
