EVENTS
Year 1
Shayne and Daniella decide to get a pet. They adopt Emil, an African Clawed Frog. Emil lives happily in his fish bowl.
Year 2
Shayne and Daniella give birth to fraternal twin girls: Edmée Ilinka Ratti-Smith and Xavia Daniella Ratti-Smith. Shayne and Daniella decide to give their twin girls honoring middle names. Edmée’s middle name honors Shayne’s middle name and Xavia’s middle name honors Daniella. Edmée has straight, dark brown hair like Shayne and amber eyes, Xavia has curly blonde hair and brown eyes. Their birth was textbook and without any complications.
Year 3
Job: Shayne has an important and long business trip that he must take to China.
Year 4
When Shayne returns a few months later, Shayne and Daniella welcome the birth of Noah Maximilian Ratti-Smith a healthy baby boy born without any surprises. They wanted a popular first name and royal middle name. Noah grows into a handsome child with straight blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Year 5
A year later, a flood sweeps through the countryside. Luckily the Ratti-Smith family’s house is built on stilts and they escape flood damage to their home. Their cars, unfortunately, have been swept away and now they drive a ’93 Ford Minivan that was given to them during charity relief.
Year 6
After the year of the flood, Shayne finally gets a pay raise.
Year 7
Edie and Xavia find a stray cat and beg their parents to let them keep it. They name her Samantha.
Year 8
Samantha ate Emil so the family decides to get another Clawed Frog. They name her Claudette. And have put a lid on Emil/Claudette’s bowl.
Year 9
Shayne and Daniella welcome a third child to their family. Another boy they named Asa Emanuele Ratti-Smith. They wanted his first name to be of royalty and his middle name to be after Daniella’s Italian heritage. He grew into a curly blonde haired boy with hazel eyes. He was also born on New Year’s Day.
Year 10
Shayne and Danielle welcome their third boy to their large family. Since Daniella is heavily influenced by art, she wanted an artist’s first name and Shayne wanted to honor his first name. They decided on Leonardo “Leo” Sean Ratti-Smith who grew to have dark brown curly hair and blue eyes. Yet another text book birth for the family.
Y11
Shayne and Daniella decide to move their large family to an even larger house. Since Shayne’s pay raise, they have been saving as much as they can to build their dream home.
Y12
While the construction of their new home, Daniella gives birth to another baby, a girl this time. They name her Alba Mary Ratti-Smith. Alba is an Italian word meaning “dawn” and they wanted a middle name that ended in “y.” She came into this world as any other ordinary baby and grew to have red wavy hair and grey eyes.
Y13
Daniella sold many designs and has a received a dramatic climb in her pay check. This is good for the Ratti-Smiths.
Y14
Eleven years after returning from China, Shayne still remembers the need the orphans have in China. He and Daniella have talked off and on the past few years about a possible adoption and finally decide to adopt a 2 year old girl from China. She was named Ai in the orphanage but Shayne and Daniella decide to give her a second name. Maya Grace Ai Ratti-Smith are the names they gave her.
Y15
Surprisingly, Shayne and Daniella give birth AGAIN. They have a little boy but he was born 8 weeks premature. They decide to give him a strong, mythological name (which will honor Daniella). Apollo Nicholas Ratti-Smith grew into a strong little boy with curly black hair and green eyes.
