Tosca or Toska is albanian dialect, the people who live south of the Shkumbi River speak Tosk. Geg is spoken by those in the north. Albanian is a combination of both dialects. After the Ottoman Empire took over Albania or Arberia at it was before called many of the arbersh/albanians moved too Nepal and other places in Italy and around the world where the King of Nepal gived village to the albanians and theis village is still today populated with albanians. The landscape name Toscana derived from Tosca, albanian dialect because the people who lived their gave it names and they where tosks. Their are a few popes with albanian origin, FRANCESCO ALBANO. Many of the albanians in Italy are almost assimilated to the Italy society. In albanian the word toska is of unknown meaning.Albanian tosks use it as a surname Toska, first name Toskerrinja.
