It’s beginning to look like young Piers might inherit the throne after all. The king and queen now have three daughters, and one son who died shortly after birth. Idonea’s past two pregnancies have been difficult, and she’s currently grateful that Ornella and Pomona are healthy, but losing Valerius took a lot out of her.
Eastmund sees no reason to stop having children now that his wife is fully recovered, but Idonea isn’t sure she could handle losing another child.
