I wouldn't say that "ROW-nin" is incorrect. BtN, while very authoritative, isn't fool-proof.
Speranza is from Ireland, as is my mother. They both pronounce it the same way you do.

Well yay, then! Yeah, I love the row-nin pronunciation. I find it extraordinarily handsome.
