Asher and Anne think it's neat that both of their names start with A, so they gave their son a name that starts with A too. Andre's middle name is Beau--short and cool, like Asher's middle name Jett. When Andre's little sister was born, the couple liked the name Ava (not wanting her to be left out with the only non-A name). Anne wanted her middle name to be Annette--a cool, modern-sounding take on her own name.

Hart and Yvette had a harder time agreeing on names. They thought of a name ending in a "t" sound, but couldn't agree on any. They both eventually agreed on Percival, but it seemed too likely to be teased, so they decided it was a good middle name. It wasn't until after their little boy was born that they finally decided on his first name, Alexander. They hadn't wanted an A name like Asher and Anne and Andre, but Alexander was a name they liked and not much was occurring to them, so Alexander he is--but they call him Xander.
