Celeste couldn't believe what she had gotten herself into. Just a couple months before Evangeline turned on, Celeste went out on the town with her friends. That night, she drank herself into such a stupor that, now looking back on the night, she can only remember the flashing lights of the club and dancing with a very handsome man. Her friend has told her that they would have gone with her when she left with him, but she told them to stay, that she was with someone safe. Eight months after that drunken night, James Ryan was born. Her parents were disgraced and told Celeste as much when she brought the newborn to her apartment. Looking back at it now, Celeste couldn't believe she had let herself get into such a situation. She's giving up drinking heavily, only allowing herself one alcoholic beverage when out. When she's at home she doesn't drink at all.
