Absolutely love this as a girls name and like the spelling Elliotte because i think it looks for feminine
Can't stand it on a girl, sorry. All male name imo.
:)
:)
Oh no, no, no! *Hugs her #1 fave BOYS name* :(
Because I have such a hard name finding names I like for boys, and Elliot is one of my favorite boys names, I absolutely HATE that people are naming their little girls this name!
No! Run away!
not for me thanks
I like Elliott for a boy because it has a softer look and sound - I'd be sad if Elliott became a girl's-only name and goes the way of Vivian, Evelyn, and Ashley.
I *could* see a girl wearing it, esp. with the nicknames Elli and Elle, but the only way I'd condone using it is if it's a family tradition for firstborns to be called Elliott and you had a girl. I'm all for flouting convention in that case.

No!
It's a boys' name!
Enough with the transgender names!

No just no
I'd prefer the spelling Eliot on a girl. But that is also my favourite spelling for it on a boy as well.
I don't think it's the worst boy-on-girl name, but I most definitely prefer it on a boy.
yeah... it isn't ugly like Harper... it's just strange. Oh wait... That's not even a real boys' name either... it's a surname used in the wrong place.

I wouldn't clutch my pearls if I met a female Elliott, but it wouldn't be something I would use. It reminds me of "Scrubs."
I've met one
It's completely male to me, even the female Elliott from Scrubs doesn't help it (and I'd just assume anybody using Elliott was using it after hearing it on the show).
I'm guessing the Elli- part was appealing to the parents of the Elliott I met, and they considered this to be an alternative or "edgy". But there are so many other great female names with Elli- in them that aren't extremely common.

Never, I will always think boy not girl when it comes to either spelling of Elliott.
Scrubs.
It's a boys name.
Not a girls name.

No. Really, really not.
I like Elliot with this spelling, but only on a boy.
No, it's a boy's name. Too masculine for a girl.
wouldn't do it... it's all boy
I like it. Especially with only one t.
Elliotte, maybe, but not Elliott. Too boyish IMO.
I can see the appeal, especially because of the "Elli" part but I'd never use it, it's very masculine at the same time. I'd leave it as a GP.
